“I have been working with 4gr for about 4 years. In that time I have had so much support from everyone that has worked with me. I know I would not be in the job I am today without all their knowledge and help. The staff have gone above and beyond what I could have imagined or hoped for. They knew exactly what I needed to get me through my course and into a job that I am enjoying. Everyone made me feel very comfortable, safe and just like part of a big family.
I owe everything to Beth, Fred and Michael who kept me on track and motivated to finish my course and get through my work experience.

“4gr has been great experience. When I was shy I met Hayley and Hayley built up my confidence.
Hayley got me job interview and Hayley starting on build my work confidence up. 1 week later had to be in the pool for the job interview for 4 hours.
I was so happy teacher childrens how to swim at swim school, and 6 days later got a call from swim school saying got the job at swim school blue fin.
I am extremely grateful to have Hayley is very punctual, caring, and supportive with my disability.”

“Our 4gr experience has been fabulous. What it offered Ben that the other services didn’t offer, is that he like a lot of other people with disabilities have had a lot of rejections in their life, and have quite low levels of confidence. Having the support of someone assisting to make the initial contact, and having the ability to actually come along and meet the employers has helped Ben develop his confidence moving forward. In all honesty we’ve never had concerns, it has all been very positive for us.”

“When I started with 4gr I was working in the supported employment industry (ADE). And all I wanted to do was to find work in the open employment field. I also attended the Work Simulation classes that 4gr run which was to help me understand what I needed to learn while looking for jobs and also career paths and their networks. I spent lots of time working out what was needed and how we would go about doing things. I have now been working in open employment for 2 years and I have a permanent part time role. I am so glad to be earning a proper wage and working with people from all over Geelong and the world and learning about their culture and trying to understand their accents.”

He was recently included in a team photo at his place of employment and he was very chuffed that they included him.”
